The just-launched members’ club Upstairs at L’Escargot is a spacious and characterful den, above one of Soho’s oldest French restaurants. The walls are brimming with artwork, and six colourful rooms offer a place to curl up with a paper, host an decadent birthday party, drink martinis with friends, or sample some of the restaurant’s exquisite Gallic fare, including snails, coq au vin and filet mignon. The new venue is owned by a duo who’ve worked at the Arts Club, Home House and Chez Gérard. We predict success. Visit www.lescargotrestaurant.co.uk Image courtesy of L'Escargot
